The reason is the lack of snow on the track
International Biathlon Union (IBU) has announced changes to the calendar for the 2022/23 season.
The next stage, which was to take place in the German Arberemoved to Slovenian Pokljuka. The reason is the lack of snow on the track.
The stage will take place from 13 to 15 January. Pokljuka will host four sprint races and two short individual races.
This week Pokljuka will host the Biathlon World Cup. Slovenia will host women’s sprint (January 5), men’s sprint (January 6), women’s and men’s pursuit (January 7), as well as single mixed and mixed relay.
Stage 5 of the IBU Cup 2022/23 has been reallocated from Arber (GER) to @BiatlonPokljuka (SLO) due to lack of snow — with the competitions scheduled to take place 13-15 January 2023.
