Three representatives of Ukraine entered the pursuit race
In Slovenian Pokljuka within the fourth stage biathlon world cup passed women’s sprint. The race was won by Elvira Oeberg from Sweden.
Oeberg didn’t miss a shot on the shooting range and finished in 20:25.2. The Swede is 6.9 seconds ahead of the leader of the overall World Cup standings Jules Simon from France. The third result was shown by the Italian Dorothea Wierer.
The best of Ukrainians became Yulia Jimaranked 19th. Also in the pursuit race were Anastasia Merkushina (38th place) and Daria Blashko (46th).
Anna Krivonos finished the sprint in 78th position. Another Ukrainian – Elena Bilosyuk – Did not start the sprint due to illness.
Tomorrow, January 6, the men’s sprint will take place in Pokljuka. On Saturday, January 7, pursuit races will take place, and on January 8, single-mixed and mixed relay races will take place.
