Biathletes fell ill after the Christmas race
Ukrainian biathletes Vitaly Mandzin and Anton Dudchenko will miss the World Cup in Pokljuka.
According to the coach of the men’s team Juraj Sanitra, Mandzin and Dudchenko were included in the team’s application for the stage in Slovenia, but they will not be able to compete due to illness. The biathletes had a fever after returning from Germany where they competed in the Christmas race.
Dudchenko got into the application for today’s sprint race, but did not start.
Earlier it was reported that Mandzin joined the Ukrainian team for the World Universiade-2023.
Recall that Alexandra Merkushina and Mandzin won bronze in the junior Christmas race.
Yulia Dzhima and Anton Dudchenko took eighth place in the Christmas Pursuit Race held in Gelsenkirchen. The Ukrainians won back one position compared to the mass start.
