Swedish biathlete Elvira Oeberg won first place in the pursuit race at the World Cup in Pokljuka, Slovenia.
Oeberg, who started in first position, did not miss a single shot from four shooting lines and posted a time of 29 minutes 41.6 seconds. The Italian finished second Dorothee Wierer the leading trio was closed by the current leader of the general classification, a Frenchwoman Julia Simon .
Later Saturday, the men will begin the pursuit.
