Biathlete Anton Babikov in an interview with he talked about a curious incident that happened several years ago during a hunting trip with Anton Shipulin .
Babikov won gold at the 2017 World Championships in the men’s relay. Moreover, the 31-year-old biathlete has won the European Championship four times.
– Could you tell a story about how you went hunting with Shipulin? They say you were lost in the woods.
“It was in 2018. Anton called me at his friends’ house in Yekaterinburg. We did a lot of things there: we played football, rode mountain bikes, we also went woodcock hunting. thing is so special, because he likes to fly closer to the sunset. We agreed to stand in different places, but we got a little lost. Anton, as a senior comrade, was worried about me, because I’m young and I can get lost in the forest. I didn’t think so, because I had gone hunting as a child and had experience. When I realized that it was getting dark, that Anton was not there, I just went to the camp. For some time he looked for me in the forest, then in the camp he scolded me because I left the place He was right, because he was worried and I considered myself independent.
– And you came there by mountain bike, and you came back on foot?
– As the camp was not so far, it was not very important. Anton loves mountain bikes, it was easier for me to walk. Now we remember it as a funny story (laughs).
