Dorothea Wierer and Julie Simon fill the podium
Swedish biathlete Elvira Oeberg won the pursuit at the World Cup in Slovenia Pokljuka.
The sprint winner covered the distance without a miss on the shooting range. Second place went to Italy’s Dorothea Wierer, who was 17.6 seconds behind Oeberg. On the third line is the Frenchwoman Julie Simon.
According to the results of the race, Ukrainian women remained outside the top 30. Julia Jima, who started 19th, had four penalties to finish in 35th place. Daria Blashko became 43rd, Anastasia Merkushina – 45th.
The men’s pursuit will also take place in Pokljuka on Saturday. The start is at 15:45 Kyiv time.
