The coach plans to involve Denis Nasyko in the race
Male trainer national team of Ukraine biathlon Yuraj Sanitra commented on the results of Ukrainian athletes at the World Cup stage in Pokljuka. The coach also shared his plans for the fifth stage in Ruhpolding.
“The difficult situation in our team due to health problems among the leaders. And those who can show themselves do not use their opportunities. I can say that in this Cup I am satisfied only with the performance of Artem Tishchenko, who helped to make a good result in the sprint and today in the relay. As for others, it’s hard to find a positive.”
“I am sure that the rule will be confirmed that at the first start after the New Year we do not succeed in everything as we wanted. The form will improve until the European Championship, where we will have Prima and Dudchenko. And Pidruchny will also be at the World Championships.”
“At the next stage in Ruhpolding in the individual race, Artem [Прима] and Anton [Дудченко] will not participate. They are moving to Obertilliach today, where they will prepare. And if everything goes well, I really want them to start there in the relay. I’m counting on Dudchenko and I’ll take it there.”
“In order to see all the candidates for the European Championship, I will speak with the coach of the “B” team, Igor Yaschenko. Most likely, Denis Nasyko will also start in the individual race in Ruhpolding.”
Recall that on the final day of the fourth stage of the World Cup in Pokljuka, Ukraine, as part of Artem Tishchenko and Anastasia Merkushina, took seventh place in the super mix. In the mixed relay, the Ukrainian four became the 11th.
The fifth stage of the World Cup will be held in Ruhpolding. The competition will be opened by the men’s individual race on January 11.
