“If someone says that the motivation for national competitions is the same as for the World Cup, then he is probably dishonest” – Loginov

russian biathlete Alexander Loginov admitted to ‘RG’ that he follows the results of the World Cup.

– Am I following the results of the World Cup? For the results, yes. Sometimes I go watch the news in the evening. I think that’s the norm. It’s our life, and we have to look ahead. If there is no competition, if there is no observation of rivals, then there will be no growth. We constantly have to cook in this porridge.

– Your coach Alexander Kasperovich once mentioned that Loginov is used to running in competitions of a different level. Can motivation really be a problem?

– I think if someone says that the motivation is the same as at the World Cup, then he is probably dishonest. Yet it is our life, our work. It’s in our interest to try to find motivation everywhere.

On December 24-25, Ryazan hosted the third stage of the Pari Commonwealth Cup, in which biathletes from Russia and Belarus took part. Russian biathletes were previously suspended from international competitions.
