Blue-yellows showed the best result of the season
Male trainer national team of Ukraine biathlon Yuraj Sanitra shared his impressions after the relay at the World Cup in Ruhpolding.
“The guys are great, they did it. Prima ran for the last time on December 18, Dudchenko also still this year [не выступал]. We were waiting for what Nasyko would show, well done, he ran the second lap with Tarja [Бе] at the same pace, coped with the shooting. Tsymbal showed himself the way we want to see him in every start: he practically did not lose seconds to the leaders. Well, Anton is already a candidate for the last stage – he coped well with shooting, quickly closed the targets.
“There is still no optimal form, as we would like, but the sixth place for us is like a victory. In general, the atmosphere is very good in the team after the individual race. The guys who came from Obertilliach [Прима и Дудченко], added a little optimism, freshness. Before the start, everyone felt that there was a chance and used this opportunity 100%.
“Will we be in medals with Pidruchny? Pidruchny, I think, is also happy for the team, for this result. Because we are one team.”
Ukraine, with Artem Pryma, Denis Nasyko, Bogdan Tsymbal and Anton Dudchenko, used seven extra rounds and finished in sixth position. This is the best result for Uray Sanitra’s team this season.
On January 14, the women’s relay race will take place in Ruhpolding, and the men’s and women’s mass starts will complete the stage (January 15).
