“I arrived just before the race, I had time to shoot” – Kuklina after the Russian Cup stage sprint in Rybinsk

biathlete Larissa Kuklina in a conversation with , she said that she arrived in Rybinsk just before the start of the sprint race as part of the fifth stage of the Russian Cup.

On Thursday, Kuklina became third in the sprint at the Russian Cup stage, held in Rybinsk from January 12-16. A biathlete representing the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug made a mistake and got behind the winner Ekaterina Noskova of 34.2 seconds. Finished second, 2.4 seconds back with one miss Ksenia Dovgaya also representing Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.

– To be honest, I didn’t understand why the target didn’t close on the counter. I’ll ask the coach. I thought it was a 100% success.

– How are you prepared for the move? It seemed like today you were focusing on filming.

I didn’t focus on anything. Arrived literally in the morning before departure. I have never been to Rybinsk. I only managed to watch the lap before the race and that was it.

– How in such a situation to understand – how to distribute the forces over a distance?

” I didn’t understand. Again, this is my first time here. In the morning I managed to shoot, then I started.

Did you like the race at the end?

– Feeling heavy. Muscles in denial absolutely do not want to work from the road. It’s hard to judge.

How did you prepare for this part of the season? Many people skip Rybinsk and go straight to Raubichi. Some admit that this start is intermediate in order to obtain a competitive load.

“I want to start every race this season. I can’t say which starts are my main ones. I try to be in better shape. I spent New Year’s holidays at the Seminsky Pass with my daughter, with coaches, with my team. I just arrived from Gorno-Altaisk today,” Kuklina told .
