Biathlete Victoria Slivko said on that she was saved by shooting during the mass start of the fifth stage of the Russian Cup in Rybinsk.
The athlete took second place with two penalties.
– Thanks to my shooting that helped me in three stages. In the last lap, thank you that there is nobody, ha ha. I saw Lisa as she was leaving, I realized that there was a chance to be second, – said Slivko.
Won the race Elizabeth Kaplina with three misses.
— I plugged in to shoot, more or less successfully. There were terrible shots in the last races, the biathlete noted.
Third place at Anastasia Goreva with six misses.
– I am listening to the shooting, the conditions here are difficult, everyone shoots badly. When I left for the finish lap, I saw that there was a big gap. I passed it calmly, I saved my strength for tomorrow’s race, – added Goreeva.
On January 16, the women’s 5 kilometer super sprint will take place at the stage. The start of the qualifications is at 10:40 a.m. (Moscow time), the final is at 12:30 p.m. (Moscow time).
