Double world champion in junior biathlon Anastasia Shevchenko on air, shared their expectations of the fourth stage of the Pari Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi.
On Thursday January 19, the stage kicks off with the men’s and women’s sprint races.
– The track is very racing, a bit of ice crumbs. If the weather remains the same tomorrow, the speed will be very high.
Is it a plus for a sprint race?
– It is always difficult to fight along such a track, because the skis pass and you put all your strength. But when it snows fresh, you endure to the end between your teeth. Here, it seems to me, from the descent it will be easier.
– What was the fructification of the work before the scene?
— We arrived after the New Year and began to work actively. I hope everything will be fine for me tomorrow. We had a very successful training camp, as well as some control training.
– Can we say that you let yourself be defeated by the big starts of the season?
– Not. I can’t say it is. Last year we raced in Europe and mostly it was in the highlands, in Russia we always raced in the flatlands. It was decided to organize a training camp in the middle mountains, just after Raubichi we will return there to prepare for the coming season. Still, we hope they will let us in,” Shevchenko said on .
