Wierer won the women’s sprint at Antholz-Anterselva, Jima entered the top 20

Julia took 20th place

Representative of Italy Dorothea Wierer triumphed in the women’s sprint at the Biathlon World Cup, which started in Antholz-Anterselva (Italy).

Wierer finished in 20:59.6 seconds with clean lines on the shooting range. Second place went to Chloe Chevalier of France, and Sweden’s Elvira Oeberg took bronze.

The best result among the Ukrainians was shown by Yulia Dzhima, who finished the race in 20th position with clean shooting. Elena Bilosyuk was 32nd with one penalty in the asset.

Alexandra Merkushina finished 44th without a single miss, and her sister Anastasia finished 55th. Anna Krivonos, having made two misfires, became the 83rd.

Further in Italy there will be a men’s sprint (January 20), pursuit (January 21) and relay races (January 22).
