Wierer ran 7.5 km in 20 minutes 59.6 seconds without fail on Thursday.
Chloé Chevalier of France finished second, 2.8 seconds behind Wierer. Third was Sweden’s Elvira Oeberg (+8.7 seconds).
The men’s sprint will take place on January 20 at 4:30 p.m. Moscow time.
