The French women’s biathlon team won the team relay during the sixth stage of the World Cup, disputed in Antholz.
The team in Lou Jeanmonnot , Anais Chevalier Boucher , Chloe Chevalier and Julie Simon completed the 4×6 km distance faster than her rivals in 1 hour 7 minutes 21.3 seconds without penalties using two extra rounds.
The stage money went to Swedes Lynn Persson, Anna Magnusson, Hanna and Elvira Oeberg, who clocked 45.2 seconds (no misses, 8 extra laps). Bronze went to the German team (+1.16.9, 0+10).
It should be noted that the Norwegian national team during the race was forced to leave for three penalty laps, the team eventually took 6th place, 2 minutes 35.4 seconds behind the winners. The Norwegians were also bypassed by representatives of Italy and Austria.
Later on Sunday, the men’s 4×7.5km relay race will take place as part of the stage.
