Daria got sick and is not ready to compete
Daria Blashko will not help national team of Ukraine on biathlon european championship. The athlete will miss the championship due to illness.
At the same time, the coaching staff of the national team could not find a replacement for Blaszko, because the representatives of Team B returned to Ukraine after the IBU Cup stage in Pokljuka, Slovenia and now cannot fully train due to lack of snow.
Thus, the Ukrainian women’s team at the European Championships will be represented by five athletes: Yulia Dzhima, Anastasia Merkushina, Elena Bilosyuk, Anna Krivonos and Lyubov Kipyachenkova.
There are six athletes in the application of the Ukrainian men’s team – Artem Pryma, Anton Dudchenko, Bogdan Tsymbal, Taras Lesyuk, Denis Nasyko, Artem Tishchenko. Dmitry Pidruchny will miss the championship due to recovery after surgery.
The 2023 European Championship will take place from 23 to 29 January in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. The championship program includes: individual race, sprint, pursuit, single-mixed and classic mixed relay.
