The Belarusian national team has the right to participate in all individual and team disciplines of the Russian championship among juniors, the press service of the Russian Biathlon Union told .
Regulations for holding biathlon competitions “Russian Championship among juniors and juniors 19-21 years old”. The document was signed by RBU President Viktor Maigurov on August 8, 2022. The competitions were held from January 19 to 23 in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region. Previously, Alexander Kasperovich and other coaches wrote an open letter to the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, in which they complained that Belarusian athletes deprived some Russians from participating in the “big mass start”.
– Athletes of sports teams of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and athletes of the national team of the Republic of Belarus are allowed to participate in the Russian Championship. Athletes of the Republic of Belarus team have the right to participate in all individual and team disciplines of the Russian Championship, including mass starts and pursuit races, but subject to the selection criteria for these disciplines in accordance with the rules, says the document provided by to the press service of the SBR.
