Yuliya won silver in the individual race at the 2023 European Championship
Coach of the Ukrainian women’s biathlon team Alexander Kravchenko commented results of our biathletes in the individual race at the European Championships.
“All the girls are great, a little someone was not enough to cope with the shooting. In principle, more or less normal.
“There were worries about Jima’s shooting. But she did a good job, and it is very pleasing. The speed was not bad, maybe not the conditions that we would like, but normal. The track here is tough, that’s what I have to say.”
“I was not at the shooting range, I was on the track, so I didn’t see what happened at Elena Bilosyuk [на последней стрельбе]. Until you spoke to her. I am satisfied with the shooting of Lyubov Kipyachenkova in this race: despite three penalties, this is not bad for her, as for such a race. Anastasia Merkushina had a good move today, kept on the level for almost all four laps, but on the last one she got a little hooked. Anna Krivonos is not bad, we need to work on functional training more.”
Jima became the silver medalist in the individual race at the European Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. The winner of the race was the German Lisa Maria Spark.
The event in Switzerland will continue with women’s and men’s sprints – the races will be held on January 27.
