Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports Olympic Biathlon Champion Anton Shipulin said Russian athletes now have enough time to recover and improve their shooting.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended at the end of February to international sports federations not to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in competitions because of the situation in Ukraine. In early March, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from all international competitions under the organization’s auspices.
“Now is the best time to recover and work on shooting. The guys themselves and their coaches know everything very well. They see athletes, look at their condition, and without seeing that, I can’t advise them anything. thing,” Shipulin told reporters.
