Ukraine took seventh place in single mixed relay at the European Championships biathlon in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
Elena Bilosyuk and Bogdan Tsymbal played for our team. At the first stage of Tsymbala, Ukraine even went second in the race, but two penalty loops by Bilosyuk pushed our pair back to 9th place. In his second stage, Bogdan managed to win back only two places.
The duo from Norway became European champions in the last race in Lenzerheide.
Earlier, at the European Championships, Ukraine took 5th place in the mixed relay. Anastasia Merkushina, Yulia Dzhima, Artem Prima and Anton Dudchenko played for our team.
Recall that at the European Championship 2023 Ukrainians won three medals. Anastasia Merkushina won gold in the sprint, while Yulia Dzhima and Anton Dudchenko brought silver medals to their team in individual races.
