Pidruchny and Jima were included in Ukraine’s bid for the Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof

The list of ten athletes is known, two more places remain vacant

Senior men’s and women’s coaches national teams of Ukraine Juraj Sanitra and Alexander Kravchenko announced a partial list of athletes for biathlon world championship 2023.

Got into the men’s application Dmitry Pidruchnywho is recovering from knee surgery. Also included in the list Artem Prima, Anton Dudchenko, Bogdan Tsymbal, Denis Nasyko. Ruslan Tkalenko, Artem Tishchenko and Taras Lesiuk will compete for the last sixth place in the application at the IBU Cup in Obertiliach, which will take place before the World Championships.

The women’s team included Elena Bilosyuk, Yulia Jima, Anastasia Merkushina, Anna Krivonos, Lyubov Kipyachenkova. Alexandra Merkushina claims the last place in the application, while Daria Blashko’s participation is questionable due to inflammation of the vestibular nerve.

The 2023 World Championship will be held in Oberhof, Germany from 8 to 19 February. The mixed relay will open the competition, and the event will end with two mass starts.
