Slivko said she dreamed of winning the mass start the day before the race at Raubichi

russian biathlete Victoria Slivko shared his emotions from the mass start victory in the Pari stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi (Belarus).

The athlete covered the distance of 12.5 km in 33 minutes 24.3 seconds. She misfired on the shooting range and finished with the Russian flag.

– I am extremely happy, I am happy to tears. I really wanted to win, and it happened. Happiness has no limit. On the last lap, I said to myself: “Shit, I’m going to do everything to win. And it worked.

I’m glad I was able to shoot two “zeros” standing. I have a lot of emotions right now, I don’t know what to say. Thank you all! Many thanks to Andrei Viktorovitch [Падину, тренеру]. You really put your whole soul into me. This victory is for you.

What do you think of the last bar?

“Honestly, I didn’t see who was shooting. It was windy at the turn, I tried to hold the gun as much as possible and pull the trigger carefully. Later when I closed the last target , I looked at the settings and I was ready to shout there, “Yes, well done.” I already knew that I would run away and do everything so that no one caught me.

– Was there a fight on contact at the start today?

“Today everything went well. In the first descent she was in the lead, but then the girls rode normally, no one pushed or let anyone down. Only Natalya Gerbulova fell, but I don’t know not why, I was driving behind.

– For you, this is the first gold medal of the season. Do you feel like a superhero in a movie right now?

“Today I dreamed that I won the race, but for some reason they wanted to take that victory away from me. All night I fought for justice. Today I only spoke to no one from this dream, I hoped in my heart that I would win, but no one would take the victory away from me. I remembered a dream when I was already running the last lap, I thought that something cosmic and magical was happening now,” Slivko said on .

Second place went to her compatriot Anastasia Goreeva, 17.8 seconds behind the winner. On the third line is another Russian woman, Anastasia Batmanova. She was 1 minute 3.4 seconds behind Slivko.
