“A lot of people think that so far it’s just talk” – skating coach Sivkov on IOC statement on possible admission of Russians

Viktor Sivkov, coach of the remaining group of the Russian national skating team, told that he was not yet inclined to seriously assess the statements of the International Olympic Committee on the possible admission of Russians to international tournaments.

Earlier, the IOC announced that it would consider the possibility of admitting Russians and Belarusians to world starts in a neutral status, who have not actively supported the NWO. There was no response from the International Skating Union (ISU).

– We have discussed it among ourselves and life has taught that there is not yet definitive confidence in this, many believe that it is still only words. We’re looking forward to 2024, and if the Paris Games are really what they say now, that’s encouraging, Sivkov told .

– Summer species have been made to understand that they want to see them at the Asian Games. If you have a similar opportunity for departures in Asia, are you ready to use it?

— Our guys, the juniors — they generally remain optimistic, far from all this politics — went to the Russian-Chinese Games, they liked it.

– Asian starts are, after all, for your sport both Korean and Japanese, although they are more competitive in terms of stays for the women’s team.

– In the men’s team race, we also killed each other with them. In Nagano, the Japanese coach kindly said: “Oh, the infection, the Russians prevented us from winning again.” We shook hands and wished each other good luck.
