President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov handed over the first ten pairs of skis produced in the country to the Biathlon Federation of the Ryazan region.
The official presentation will take place on Tuesday, January 31 at the ROC Innovation Center in Moscow.
“This is the start of a large-scale program of the Russian Biathlon Union, according to which each regional biathlon federation will receive nationally produced ski equipment free of charge, intended for those involved in sports schools,” said the organization said in a statement.
On February 4-5, the Luzhniki Stadium will host the Star Racing TV Match with the participation of skiers and biathletes. On February 4, at 1:00 p.m. Moscow time, the ski race will begin, on February 5, at 1:00 p.m., biathletes will start their performance.
