Earlier, Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) President Viktor Maigurov handed over the first ten pairs of Russian-made skis to the Biathlon Federation of the Ryazan region. The official presentation took place on Tuesday, January 31 at the ROC Innovation Center in Moscow.
– In terms of stability and glide, these skis were in no way inferior to the skis that other athletes rode. In general, the skis were fine for us. But how they will behave in terms of durability and operation, is not ready to say now. After training, their gliding surface is good, the skis are at the same level. In terms of the quality of the sliding surface and edge processing, they are good. We have hard tracks, and when I went on the ice, there was not the slightest skid mark. Good directional stability without a ski slope, there is nothing like skis “sucking” on wet snow. I am satisfied. Honestly, without prejudice, I’m happy with the skis!
The poles are light, comfortable lanyard, comfortable handle. What will be their durability? It can only be determined by experience. And so, the frame is comfortable, it holds well in hand. Maintains balance well.
– Does the Russian Biathlon Union take the initiative to provide the same skis and equipment?
– I’ll be honest. I recommend these skis for sports schools, for regional competitions. And if it is necessary to identify the best athletes, so that everyone rides on the same skis. For teenagers, this is usually the most suitable option. Good edging, I liked how they grip to different surfaces, Ardov told .
In Moscow “Luzhniki” on February 4-5 will be held ” Racing Stars” with the participation of skiers and biathletes.
