Winner of the Speed Skating World Championships Viktor Mushtakov will participate in the Russian Cup stage in Kirov, the coach of the Russian national team’s sprint team told Dmitry Dorofeev.
The competitions will take place on an open ice rink from February 9 to 12.
“Mushtakov and possibly Timur Karamov will go from the sprint group to Kirov,” Dorofeev told .
Earlier, Russian all-around champion Yegor Yunin told that he also intends to compete in Kirov.
That start will be missed by Olympic short track speed skating champion, Beijing 2022 silver medalist in speed skating Ruslan Zakharov, who suffered from back problems on the final day of the Russian Championships in Irkutsk.
“Now I will only play in the Russian Cup final in Kolomna,” he said.
