Russian singer Mitya Fomin explained why he agreed to participate in the ” Star Race” in biathlon.
The event will take place on February 5 at 1:00 p.m. Moscow time and will be hosted by commentator Dmitry Guberniev. The competition will take place according to the rules of the mixed biathlon relay.
– I received a call from the Department of Sports of the city of Moscow, they offered me to participate. Probably they know that I am Siberian, that I ski. Not very well, but I’m going. Biathlon is a whole new story for me. It’s time, I decided to try it myself.
When it comes to sports, I think the more a person moves, the better. And it’s all about me: I like certain new sports, other activities – in general, putting myself in unusual circumstances, getting out of my comfort zone. So for me personally, “Race of the Stars” is very interesting. I think I’m going to look unusual in this new role for me. But nothing and no one will stop me from trying. In addition, it’s competitions, it’s endorphins, it’s physical activity, that is to say good humor. So, by the way, why not participate?
To be honest, I’m not really into skiing and biathlon. When I was little, the name Raisa Smetanina sounded. Well, since I was born in Siberia, all physical education lessons at school in the winter were on skis. Therefore, I always go to them – I ride in the Lazutina park in Odintsovo.
I really like water sports. I like watching water polo, what I did, diving, swimming. It’s much closer to me,” Fomin told .
The day before, Luzhniki will also host a TV Race of the Stars match among skiers. The ski and biathlon races will be broadcast live on the channel.
