Pidruchny: With a knee at 80% everything is fine

The biathlete noted that not all muscles had time to renew

Ukrainian biathlete Dmitry Pidruchny spoke about his recovery after knee surgery.

“In general, everything is fine, I feel good. The training went well, we are preparing for tomorrow’s start.

“The knee is 80% good. The muscles were severely atrophied after the operation. There was little time to completely update them. In general, the leg works fine, but there is a little lack of strength. But for tomorrow – a fighting mood. We’re getting ready to do our best.”

Recall that Pidruchny had a successful surgical intervention in Germany in December. The athlete was absent from the team due to a torn meniscus.

Pidruchny will compete in the mixed relay at the 2023 World Championships in Oberhof. Earlier, the Ukrainian in his first race after the operation took third place in the sprint at the IBU Cup stage in Obertilliach, Austria.

The 2023 World Championships in Oberhof will take place from 8 to 19 February. The start of the mixed relay is at 15:45 Kyiv time.
