The Ukrainian finished 12th in the individual race at the World Championships in Oberhof
Ukrainian biathlete Artem Tishchenko commented on his speech in the individual race at the 2023 World Championships in German Oberhof.
“In general, accurate information about participation in the individual race was provided in the morning. In the evening they warned that there might be a chance to prove themselves. To be honest, I was planning a day of rest. But it so happened that I had to run the race. I’m glad that I had such a chance, I wanted to start, and not just train.”
“Yes, this is my record at the World Cup. In general, I very rarely ran at the world championships. I am glad that it turned out to show such a result. Haven’t shot all zeros in a long time. But here it was quite easy to shoot, especially on the “rack”, there were no such problems as before.”
Tishchenko finished 12th in the individual race at Oberhof and showed his best result in the world championships. Previously, he did not get into the top 30 in the tournament. It is also the second best career result for the 29-year-old. The record is 10th place in the sprint at the Oberhof World Cup in 2015.
Recall that the individual race at the 2023 World Championships in Oberhof, Germany was won by the Norwegian biathlete Johannes Be.
On Wednesday, February 15, the women’s individual race will take place at the World Championships. The start of the competition is at 15:30 Kyiv time.
