The last stage of the Russian Cup takes place in Chaikovsky (Perm Territory) from February 16 to 19. On Thursday, Makhonin took part in the women’s sprint award ceremony, which ended with the victory of Natalia Gerbulova. Also in Chaikovsky, a cooperation agreement was signed between the RRF and the government of the Perm Territory.
– It is not for me to assess the level of organization of the competition, but, as they say in the Russian Biathlon Union and, in particular, Viktor Viktorovich Maigurov, everything is at the highest level. So we are always happy to host the biggest competitions in the Perm Territory. At the same time, in Perm, we are hosting the Russian Figure Skating Championship for juniors. This only proves that our region is capable of successfully organizing such competitions,” Makhonin told a correspondent.

— Biathlon is one of the most colorful sports, I love watching it. I’m glad I managed to see the race from the podium today. Great race, it was a real fight.
