Dmitry Vasiliev: ‘Khalili and Serokhvostov’s preparation is not the best, they can show a lot more with their movements’

Cross-country skiing training of Russian biathletes Karima Khalili And Daniil Serokhvostov group preparation Artem Istomine raises questions, because at the Russian Cup stages they did not show the movement they could, the two-time Olympic champion and president of the St. Petersburg Biathlon Federation told Dmitry Vasiliev .

Eduard Latypov won the sprint race in the PARI Russian Biathlon Cup final in Tchaikovsky on Friday, finishing the 10km race in 23 minutes 57.2 seconds with a penalty on the shooting range. Second place went to Daniil Serokhvostov, 38.5 seconds behind Latypov with a penalty. Khalili finished fourth, after six races of the season, he scored 239 points and won the Russian Cup sprint classification.

– Khalili, although he won the general classification, does not show stability during the season. He started for health, then did no shakes or rolls. It seems that he was here, in Tchaikovsky, but he didn’t show himself as brilliant at all as in December. Serokhvostov’s shooting has improved, it does him credit, before that he couldn’t go anywhere. And now he’s shooting much better, but the movement has gotten a bit worse than last season. What is it related to, I think, he will find out with the coach. Both Serokhvostov and Khalili were coached by Istomin, and their ski training isn’t the best. At least they can play even better. And the shooting – yes, their shooting is quite good, – Vasilyev told a correspondent.

The last stage of the PARI Biathlon Cup of Russia takes place in Tchaikovsky (Perm Territory) from February 16 to 19. On Saturday, February 18, watch the pursuit race live, the broadcast of the women’s race will start at 08:40 Moscow time, the men’s race at 11:40. The races will be broadcast live on the channel, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
