“We are happy with what we have.” Biathlete Pashchenko – about the difficulties of acquiring equipment

2022 European Championship silver medalist, Russian biathlete Petr Pashchenko told that when it comes to acquiring foreign equipment, his wishes are taken into account, but not always implemented.

In early 2022, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) suspended all Russian and Belarusian athletes from competition. In addition, many global manufacturers of sports equipment and clothing have left Russia.

– Everything is not as simple now with the inventory as before. It is not at all necessary to talk about contractual conditions and obligations. But there are options, including parallel imports. Companies and representatives who have worked in Russia are trying to help in this situation. Not everything is as before, but given the current conditions, you shouldn’t complain – there’s plenty to compete with.

Yes, inventory requests are accepted, but they are not always implemented. So we are happy with what we have,” Pashchenko told a correspondent.

Eduard Latypov won the men’s sprint on Friday at the sixth stage of the Russian Cup in Tchaikovsky (Perm Territory). Pashchenko finished fifth with one miss. In the final sprint standings, Pashchenko also took fifth place (192 points).

The races of the final phase of the PARI Russian Cup will be broadcast live on the channel, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites. On Saturday, February 18, women’s and men’s pursuit races will take place, the broadcasts will start at 8:40 am and 11:40 am respectively (Moscow time).
