Relay races at the Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof, Germany may not take place due to high winds. This was reported by the press service of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
The relay races are scheduled for February 18. The wind speed that day is expected to be 24 m/s.
The decision to hold the races will be made at 09:30 (Moscow time).
Russian biathletes do not participate in the world championships due to the situation in Ukraine.
From February 16 to 19, Tchaikovsky (Perm Territory) hosts the last stage of the PARI Biathlon Cup of Russia. The races will be broadcast live on the channel, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites. The pursuit races will be held on Saturday, the start of the broadcast of the women’s start at 8:40 a.m. (Moscow time), the men’s pursuit can be watched from 11:40 a.m.
