I didn’t rest well after the last stages of the Commonwealth Cup, now I have to think carefully about what to do before the Russian Championship. I hope I can recover. The task is to enjoy the race, and the medals are already a side effect (laughs). If you are having fun, everything is fine.
– What is the objective for this season, when nobody is selected in the Russian team for the World Cup and the World Championship?
— My motivation is to have a season without missed races. As long as it succeeds. There were two negative runs: the first was freezing when the gun didn’t fire, and the second was yesterday. So the preparation for the season turned out to be positive, ”Povarnitsyn told a correspondent.
Russian athletes are not allowed to participate in international competitions by decision of the IBU due to the situation in Ukraine.
