Ukraine failed to win medals at the Biathlon World Championships for the first time in 14 years

The best result of the Blue-and-Yellows was the fifth place of Dmitry Pidruchny in the sprint

Team of Ukraine failed to win a single medal biathlon world championship for the first time in 14 years.

Ukrainians for the fifth time in history did not hit the podium in any of the races of the competition. The last time this happened was in 2009.

The best result at the 2023 World Cup in Oberhof was the fifth place in the sprint of Dmitry Pidruchny. The women’s relay team, which has consistently won medals since 2017, took 14th place out of 16 participating teams.

On the last day of the 2023 World Cup in the men’s mass start, Dmitry Pidruchny finished 23rd, and Anton Dudchenko – 25th. The women’s race was held without Ukrainians – Yulia Jima, who won the right to participate in the competition, did not start due to a cold.
