The biathlete performed in the sprint and relay at the 2023 World Cup

“I think that after the classic relay it is clear that her health is not all the way it should be. The pause she had had a big impact on her athletic form. So yesterday we had a long conversation on this topic. I can say that in a conversation with the coaches we will decide that she will no longer play at the World Cups this season.
“She needs to start training differently so that she raises her functional parameters. In this state, she can no longer prepare for any starts this season.
The athlete missed the European Championship due to illness. At the World Championships in Oberhof, Daria ran a sprint, after which the coaches decided not to put her on the start anymore. However, Blaschko subsequently took part in the relay, replacing Yulia Jima, who caught a cold.
This season, Daria has been in the top 30 four times in individual races. Blaschko’s best result is 17th place in the pursuit race at the Annecy World Cup.
