Dmitry Pidruchny could be the main surprise of the last biathlon world championship in Oberhof. The International Biathlon Union nominated the captain and leader of the Ukrainian men’s team for this award.
Recall that the Ukrainian showed good results in Germany, finishing fifth in the sprint and eighth in the pursuit. And all this despite the fact that Dmitry recovered from a knee injury before the start of the competition.
Pidruchny will compete for the award with three women: Italian Samuela Komola, Swedish Lynn Persson and German Hanna Koebinger.
