On Thursday, Bazhin ran 20 km flawlessly on the shooting range in 53 minutes 14.0 seconds.
Second place was taken Ilnaz Moukhamedzyanov losing to Bazhin 58.3 seconds.
The third was the Belarusian Anton Smolsky who lost 1 minute 37.4 seconds to the winner.
