Former head of the Russian Skating Union (SKR) Alexei Kravtsov told reporters that he would not challenge the election of Nikolai Gulyaev as the organization’s new president.
Olympic speed skating champion Gulyaev was elected the new president of the TFR on Friday at the organization’s congress in Moscow.
Since 2009, the president of the organization is Kravtsov, who also took part in the elections. The third candidate was Vadim Morozov.
— The situation was predictable. The pressure was strong. This is why we have moved the congress to another place. I see no reason to challenge the decision. I wish good luck to the president-elect,” Kravtsov said.
