On Saturday, Kazakevich took silver in the Super Pursuit in the first stage of the PARI Russian Championship, beaten by Tamara Derbusheva. The bronze medals were won by Ekaterina Noskova and Natalia Gerbulova.

Probably, for the first time in our country, biathlon has become such a holiday. People come to enjoy the atmosphere, the competitions, plus you can have a little fun and play. Usually such a holiday is Victory Day or New Year’s Day, but here for many people in our country biathlon has become the same event. I think the level of the Russian Cup and championship has increased a lot, Kazakevich said, as quoted by a correspondent.
– Is it particularly pleasant to be with Tamara during the awards ceremony?
– We’re somewhere nearby today during everything: Tamara and I are walking in pairs! Very funny, we live together. We have such an aura: if we lose a race, we will be first and second in the next one.
