On Saturday, Gerbulova and Ekaterina Noskova, who showed the same result, became third in the super pursuit. Tamara Derbusheva won, Irina Kazakevich took silver.
– Race at very high intensity, you have to work everywhere. Each mistake literally costs 10 seconds. In the prologue, I had a small stain at the turn, I immediately lost 10 seconds. Starting twice is not easy. Three misses are my spots. Today’s pulse was the highest of the entire winter season. The race was very difficult.
On the last lap, I felt and heard that Katya (Noskova) was rolling behind. At times it seemed to me that it was better to stand behind his back and work behind it, but until the last moment I gave all my strength to cross the finish line faster.
As a friend, I already have an individual medal from the Russian Championship, I would like my friend to have it too, Gerbulova told .
