Triple freestyle skiing world champion Maxim Burov said he was ready to participate in Asian competitions if Russian athletes were admitted.
At the moment, Russian freestylers are suspended from international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine. The Olympic Council of Asia has offered to give athletes from Russia and Belarus the opportunity to participate in competitions in Asia, including the Asian Games.
– Do you like the idea of playing in Asian tournaments?
– I haven’t heard of it at all. If we are told about it, of course, we will participate. Why not try? Chinese acrobats are strong rivals, our constant competitors, – the correspondent reports Burov’s words.
