Pidruchny: Problems have returned, but I haven’t thought about plans for the upcoming season yet

The leader of the Ukrainian national biathlon team is not sure that he will be able to continue his career

Ukrainian biathlete Dmitry Pidruchny commented on his Continuing career after surgery and recovery this season.

“After such a busy World Cup, and I had seven starts in two weeks, my health was shaken a little. I am now resting and recovering. And I hope that I can work out the remaining three stages to the maximum. Show good results.

“Certain problems have returned. However, nothing so serious. Against the backdrop of fatigue, something escalated. But now it will be better to recover, so I think I will be in proper shape at the World Cup. But we will look at the situation, in which case, we will not sacrifice our health now.”

“I haven’t thought about plans for the upcoming season yet. I want to finish this season. And then make decisions about the future.

Recall that Pidruchny had a successful surgical intervention in Germany in December. The athlete was absent from the team due to a torn meniscus. At the 2023 World Championships in Oberhof, Pidruchny became 5th in the sprint and 8th in the pursuit.

Pidruchny got into the Ukrainian national team at the World Cup stage in Nove Mesto.
