Ukrainian biathletes also participate in the information war
Biathlete Dmitry Pidruchny told how Ukrainian athletes are trying to convey information to their colleagues about what is happening in our country.
“I hope I make a difference. A lot of people read the press, watch TV spots, so I think they hear something from me too. Some changes can and do occur in their views on this whole situation. Many foreign athletes support us. At least take the situation when I was at the World Championships in the top 6 with five Norwegians. They supported me a lot. And it was very nice to hear the words that Tarjei Be said then at a press conference that they will always be with us, and we can count on them.”
“I think that this is the result of the work that we also do, when athletes take our side and also convey information to people in different countries. All this together gives some positive results, changing the worldview of people who, perhaps, do not yet understand everything that is actually happening. I think all this brings the changes we need in the information field.”
Earlier, Pidruchny said that he dedicated his third place in the sprint at the IBU Cup stage in Austrian Obertilliach to his friend Eduard, who died defending Ukraine.
The war of Ukraine against the Russian Federation continues for the 369th day.
