Skier Kuleshova said it was easier for her to run in the snow

russian skier Anastasia Kuleshova who finished third in the 10K Championship Heights event, said she had her own preference for the weather.

Kuleshova lost 35.8 seconds to winner Veronika Stepanova in the 10 km run at the Championship Heights competition in Malinovka (Arkhangelsk region). Second place was taken by Natalya Nepryaeva.

— Of course, this race is successful for me. I always want more, professional athletes strive to win. But an award-winning venue is just as good, ”reports a Kuleshova correspondent.

– What is still missing to kill for the first place with Nepryaeva and Stepanova?

— Good question (laughs). Maybe you need to talk to the coach. Maybe not enough preparation. Maybe change the psychology somehow. Every athlete has their own cockroaches …

– What are yours?

– Professional sport is not only a physical form, but also a psychological preparation, an attitude. Plus the weather conditions: someone runs well on a soft track in the snow, someone in the sun and in severe frost. I like winter, snowfall, I’m fine.

On March 1, as part of the Championship Heights competition, a men’s 15 km race with a separate start will take place. Watch the live broadcast from 10:40 a.m. Moscow time on and Match! Arena”, as well as on the sites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
