The Championship Heights competition in Malinovka, Arkhangelsk region could become traditional even with the admission of Russian athletes to international starts, said the president of the Russian Ski Competition Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe .
“Champion Heights”, currently taking place in Malinovka, is an alternative to the World Championship taking place in Slovenian Planica. Russian skiers have been barred from participating in the World Cup by the International Ski Federation (FIS) due to the situation in Ukraine.
– We made the calendar based on the prototype of the international calendar actually. We have not yet discussed with the coaches the schedule for the next season. However, the competition is actually good. They can take place whether we are at international competitions or not. The only thing that does not satisfy me is that only 25 regions have arrived, – the correspondent reports Vyalba’s words.
