Skier Faleeva – about the victory in the relay at “Champion Heights”: “We dreamed of getting into the top 3, but winning was out of reach”

skier Anastasia Faleeva said that the St. Petersburg team does not count on winning the relay race at the Champions Heights competition held in the Arkhangelsk region.

On Thursday, the Saint Petersburg team consisting of Faleeva, Diana Soboleva, Rada Tarasenko and Evgenia Krupitskaya won the relay. The second was the first team of the Republic of Tatarstan, the third – the Moscow team.

– I’m exhausted from these races, start. I’m glad we have such a team. We dreamed of finishing in the top three, but winning was out of reach. All worked to the limit. I liked my stage, I worked to the maximum, as expected, I also watched Diana (Soboleva) run the first lap. I thought, “Just endure the second round, and we’ll usually be awesome!” She came early and I was already worried about myself,” Faleeva said on .

Krupitskaya said that before the start of “Champion Heights” she had an illness.

– Just before the start, I fell ill and had to miss almost the whole program, but I improved through the relay, I decided to support the team. This win means a lot to all of us. Soboleva also fell ill before the start, probably the form was a little different, but she ran the first stage very well, – said Krupitskaya.

Champion Heights will end on March 5. On Friday, the men’s relay race will take place, watch the live broadcast from 10:40 Moscow time on the channel, as well as on the matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
