It was far from the medals
Team Ukraine among girls took 4th place in the relay on junior world championship 2023 biathlon in Shchuchinsk (Kazakhstan).
The Ukrainian team competed with Elena Gorodnaya, Ksenia Prikhodko and Alexandra Merkushina. At the last stage, Merkushina Jr. managed to raise our trio from 6th to 4th position, but it was still far from medals – more than a minute to 3rd place.
The victory in the relay race was confidently won by the German team, which brought the Italians 1 minute 46 seconds.
At the Junior World Cup 2023, our team has two medals. Alexandra Merkushina won bronze in the individual race. Our team also won bronze in the mixed relay. Elena Gorodnaya, Alexandra Merkushina, Bogdan Borkovsky and Mikhail Khmil performed as part of the blue-and-yellow teams.
