Renowned Russian biathlete and member of the RBU Board of Directors Ivan Cherezov who took 37th place in the 10-kilometer ski race “Alexander Legkov”, praised the leadership of Udmurtia for attention to sports and complained about his own physical form.
The first three winners of the 10 kilometer race in Peresvet near Moscow were Alexander Kuleshov, Mikhail Devyatyarov and Alexei Chirkov. The prestigious 30 kilometer distance was won by Artem Maltsev.
How would you rate your current form?
– Like none. One out of five. Now I don’t ski at all, I only ski on such wonderful holidays as the Legkov Race.
– Once?
– Well yes. I have enough work, I’m tired. I can’t always find the time or force myself to go skiing.
– How is the Udmurt biathlon, which you lead? First financially.
– The leadership of the republic tries to do the maximum for sport. Including for biathlon, one of the basic types for Udmurtia. Compared to the rest of the biathlon in the region, we feel relatively good.
– Who, after Emerkhonov’s transfer to Tatarstan, is the leader of Udmurtia in the lead?
“Given that Kaisheva is on maternity leave, Mukhametzyanov and Kornev,” the correspondent quoted Cherezov as saying.
