Belarusian biathlete Alimbekova-Smolskaya won the Commonwealth Cup overall

Representative of Belarus Dinara Alimbekova-Smolskaya won the PARI overall score of the 2022/23 Biathlon Commonwealth Cup.

On Sunday, Alimbekova-Smolskaya took sixth place in the women’s 12.5km mass start at the Commonwealth Cup stage in Tyumen. The victory was won by Russian Anastasia Goreeva.

After 17 races, Alimbekova-Smolskaya scored a total of 1,750 points. The Russians followed in the standings: second place in the general standings was occupied by Victoria Slivko (1680 points), the third was Irina Kazakevich (1672).

The Congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in September decided to maintain the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions.
